The World at the Crossroads
How Education and Mindset Shape Europe’s Future
The War Begins in Our Minds is a provocative examination of contemporary Europe and the beliefs, educational systems, cultural patterns, and personal choices that the author argues are shaping its future.
Moving between geopolitics, education, social values, relationships, family structures, and personal responsibility, the book develops a central thesis: wars do not begin only on battlefields. They begin much earlier, in the ideas people inherit, the narratives societies teach, and the attitudes toward other nations that are transmitted from one generation to the next. Education therefore becomes not merely an academic institution, but one of the most powerful forces determining whether societies move toward conflict or cooperation.
Against the background of the war in Ukraine and growing geopolitical tensions across Europe, the author questions military escalation and examines how historical resentment, political narratives, nationalism, migration, corruption, and inadequate education can influence collective behavior. Rather than presenting warfare as an inevitable solution to political confrontation, the book argues for critical thinking, diplomacy, responsible leadership, reconciliation, and educational reform as foundations for long-term peace.
A second major dimension of the book turns from international conflict to what the author considers an equally consequential transformation occurring inside European families. Through her personal philosophy of masculine and feminine energy, she challenges contemporary assumptions about independence, equality, work, relationships, and gender roles. She advocates a complementary model in which men embrace responsibility as providers and protectors, while women are free to cultivate femininity, creativity, family life, and motherhood without being compelled to carry both traditionally masculine and feminine responsibilities.
The figure of the “independent woman” consequently becomes part of a broader cultural critique. The author contrasts this model with her concept of the “high-value woman” or “prize woman”: a woman who knows her worth, maintains high standards, refuses exploitative relationships, and expects commitment, protection, responsibility, and genuine investment from the man she chooses.
Drawing heavily on her experiences in Romania and Ireland, the author also contrasts different educational and cultural environments and argues that national mentality cannot be separated from the systems through which children learn values, responsibility, civic behavior, relationships, and attitudes toward other peoples.
Ultimately, The War Begins in Our Minds connects the intimate world of family and relationships with the larger world of nations and geopolitical conflict. Its message is that lasting social transformation cannot be achieved through politics alone. If Europe wishes to build a more peaceful and stable future, the author argues, transformation must begin with education, personal responsibility, critical thought, healthier relationships, and a fundamental change in collective mindset.
